I’ve spent over 17 years teaching grant writing and nonprofit management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I created and launched the Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration. In addition to my academic work, I’ve also served as a funding and development specialist for organizations focused on performing arts, economic development, entrepreneurial endeavors, and social justice. These experiences gave me hands-on insight into the critical need for skilled grant writers across various sectors.
After losing my job as the top Development Officer at a regional live theatre company due to the pandemic, I started my side hustle grant writing business, Cauthen Collaborative, when nonprofits in my community reached out for help.
